Orderful — the fastest way to trade EDI · ~100 employees · $85M raised

Remote — United States, CanadaFull-time · Remote$190K – $225K USD (Remote US) · $190K – $210K CAD (Remote Canada)

About the role

Orderful is the fastest way to trade EDI — the first modern EDI platform to embed AI directly into workflows, automating rule writing, reducing errors, and making integrations effortless. Founded 2016, ~100 employees, backed by Andreessen Horowitz, GLP Capital Partners, NewRoad Capital Partners, and Initialized Capital ($85M raised). 400+ companies including Koch Industries, Liquid Death, and NFI rely on Orderful to move 500M+ transactions across 10,000 trading partnerships.

Senior engineers at Orderful own the design, delivery, and reliability of complex parts of the platform. You'll lead the architecture of new solutions, solve the hardest technical problems, and set the quality bar — increasingly by directing AI coding agents and reviewing their work as rigorously as you'd review a teammate's. Deep fundamentals matter more here, not less: you can't safely review what an agent produces if you don't deeply understand the systems underneath it.

The engineering team is AI-forward by default and customer-outcome-driven — every piece of work starts from a real metric or a real customer problem. Culture runs on data-driven decisions, leaving things better than you found them, working in the open, and a bias to action.

Remote — US or Canada (PST preferred). No visa sponsorship of any kind.

  • Lead the technical design and implementation of major initiatives and product features that meet critical business requirements
  • Author technical designs for large projects, and guide the business case for pursuing technical changes

  • Identify the business impact of a technical change and lead others across the org in mitigating it
  • Direct AI coding agents and review their output with the same rigor you'd apply to a teammate's work
  • Mentor other engineers and shape technical direction across the team
